Sew Hungry 2015 & OOTD

Top: Target
Beach Pants: Billabong {similar}
 Platform Sandals: Tobi
 Turtle Gemstone Necklace-gift-

Today we went to the Sew Hungry 2015 Food Truck Festival. It was a beautiful day for walking up & down the streets looking at food truck menus trying to decide what to eat. We decided to only get dessert because we were low on cash an its about $10 for any single item.  We went to a truck called Festival Fun Food and got a deep fried cheesecake to share. Eat your hearts out...

An honorable mention for me was the Frankie Fettuccine Food Truck. They had a Gnocchi Poutine that was made with "Braised Veal, Fried Gnocchi, Smoked Quebec Curds, and Natural Jus" . I love Italian food and I thought it was such a different concept!

Minimalist With A Twist

V Neck: Target
Belt: Armani Exchange -old-
Floral Jeans: Sirens
Anne Michelle Heels: Dailylook

Can minimalist looks have a twist? When does it become not minimalist anymore? I love the idea of styling a t-shirt with a pair of classy heels such as these. This outfit would so much more crisp & awesome if I had worn it with a pair of white skinny jeans. The black heels and a black belt break up the overpowering whites for that perfect minimalist look.

Spring Embellishments

V Neck Tee: Target
Embellished Vest: Forever21 -old- {other option}
Jeggings: Urban Planet -old-
Necklace: Forever21

Another Spring inspired Easter outfit....I wore this the day my family and I celebrated Easter. Again, it is very casual and comfy but works perfectly well for the occasion. Not to mention these pants are super comfy. They are a cotton jegging and feel just like I'm wearing yoga pants or fitted pajama bottoms. What more could you ask for on a day when you stuff yourself silly with food & desserts? My favorite part about this outfit is the little jewel embellishments on the breast pockets of this vest. It adds such a girly touch to an otherwise masculine piece. A trend I love to wear is a statement necklace with a plain t-shirt. You can find a lot of great statement necklaces for under $10 that look like they are worth a lot more.  What trends are you loving for Spring?

1 Dress 2 Ways

Formal
Dress: Forever 21 s/o
Blazer: Boohoo {similar}
Booties: Target
Feather Necklace: Stitches Outlet
Rose Gold Watch: Geneva

Casual
Dress: Forever 21 s/o
Sweater: Bluenotes s/o {also styled here}
Rose Gold Watch: Geneva

It is still far too cold here to wear dresses, even with tights it's a daring move. I am dreaming of cute Easter outfits with pastel colored skirts and dresses but I think I will have to be more creative if I plan to leave the house at all! For those of you who have warmer weather, or are brave enough to rock a dress in "sprinter" (spring/winter) here is an excellent way to style your dress for formal and casual events.

OOTD: Simplicity

Top: Target
Jeans: Hollister color s/o
"Vintage" Watch Necklace: Stitches, also styled here

Here is a super simple outfit that you can put together with basic pieces from your wardrobe that you probably already own. The statement piece could be jewelry like I did, but you could also wear a statement jacket, scarf or even shoes. It's really easy to play and customize this look using different colors.

I have created a facebook page to help my followers keep track of when I post. Everyone please check out Picture My Life and like the page to see my blog posts update in your facebook feed when I post, thanks :)

New Obsession

NYX Butter Gloss

I just wanted to take a moment to talk about the best lip product around, IMO. I had heard such amazing things about NYX Butter gloss for the past 2 years! There was no where in Canada to buy NYX products until this past winter when Target came to Canada. I was so excited, but when I went to Target they didn't carry the butter gloss, such a disapointment! So, you may recall that last month I received a butter gloss in my Ipsy bag. I was sooo excited. I tried it out and loved it! I needed to have more. I discovered that one of the websites I order clothing from online happens to sell a small selection of the butter glosses too! So I bought 3 more....

Cherry Cheese Cake

Red Velvet

Raspberry Tart

 Creme Brûlée

They are so pigmented, and not sticky at all. Plus they smell amazing.  I think there is about 21 shades, I've got a lot more to go!
