Geometric Elephant

Top: Urban Planet {similar, similar}
Skirt: Forever21 also styled here

This is a very simple outfit that I threw together for a football game. It was 31'C so I needed to dress light.  This style of graphic top with elephants and geometric designs is very popular right now and you can find them just about anywhere. Here are just a few I came across while searching for the link to mine: Oversized tee, cropped tank, and an oversized tank.  This skirt is actually too big on me and it will be purged in my upcoming fall wardrobe refresher (stay tuned!)

Boyfriend Jeans & Cats

click pictures to enlarge

Cat Crop Top: Urban Planet
Boyfriend Jeans: Hollister color s/o
Sandals: Birkenstock
Belt: Forever21

Today I learnt a lesson. There is a reason why women wear boyfriend jeans with strappy heels...its because the jeans make you look super short! I made a mistake of wearing flat soled sandals with this. We were just out BBQ-ing so no one saw (hehe). Sidenote: I am not ashamed of my birks, I live in these things. I was trying to go for casual comfy without wearing leggings or sweats. I also learned that I need to position my face away from the sun because there is far too much squint going on.  On a better note, its finally spring-like here! It was ~20'C out yesterday and today, the rest  of the week is following suit.

Spring Embellishments

V Neck Tee: Target
Embellished Vest: Forever21 -old- {other option}
Jeggings: Urban Planet -old-
Necklace: Forever21

Another Spring inspired Easter outfit....I wore this the day my family and I celebrated Easter. Again, it is very casual and comfy but works perfectly well for the occasion. Not to mention these pants are super comfy. They are a cotton jegging and feel just like I'm wearing yoga pants or fitted pajama bottoms. What more could you ask for on a day when you stuff yourself silly with food & desserts? My favorite part about this outfit is the little jewel embellishments on the breast pockets of this vest. It adds such a girly touch to an otherwise masculine piece. A trend I love to wear is a statement necklace with a plain t-shirt. You can find a lot of great statement necklaces for under $10 that look like they are worth a lot more.  What trends are you loving for Spring?

OOTD & FOTD

Here is another outfit of the day. This was my outfit for the May long weekend celebration. We didn't do anything too exciting. Just went out for dinner and drinks, then came home and watched the fireworks from our balcony - which has the best view btw.   Its crazy to think that the May long weekend used to be all about that first camping trip of the season. Its still cold here. I mean, its not winter or anything but last week it was still really cold overnight and the days were quite gloomy. Not really camping weather.

Top: Garage
Jeans: Sirens
Necklace: Forever21
Booties: Urban Planet

The second part of this post is my FOTD, and no that is not "Face of the Day" its Food of the Day! We went to Kelsey's for dinner this night, as we usually do. We are such creatures of habit...but they have delicious food and the prices are unbeatable.

                      3 Cheese and Spinach Dip                         Classic Balsamic Chicken Dinner

Seriously, you can't go to Kelsey's and not get the spinach dip , it is to die for.  Me and Anthony got it as an appetizer and split it.  1/2 price apps after 9pm!  My meal was the Classic Balsamic Chicken Dinner with garlic mashed and roasted veggies. Of course I got a side of gravy. It was excellent, the balsamic creamy sauce that was on the chicken was sooo good.

Hope you all had an excellent May Long!
