Scalloped Skirt

Top: Ardene
Heels: Sirens {similar}

This past weekend we went out for dinner to the Mandarin where I got to try chocolate covered bacon for the first time.  It did not disappoint. I based my outfit around my shoes this time. These wedges are to-die-for. I can;t get over how comfortable they are. And I kid you not, they are literally the easiest heels to walk in and it's like a 4" heel! And no I'm not just saying that....Here's a close up

Happy Victoria Day AKA May Long !!

I hope everyone is out there enjoying the beautiful weather this weekend. It would have been the perfect weekend for camping, I wish I didn't have to work so we could have planned something. This is it folks, summer is here (for us in the southern part of the province anyways, we tend to skip Spring)

Right now I am totally digging bright neons with complimentary neutral colours. I bought these strappy neon wedges from Gojane nearly 3 or so years ago and I am so happy that I kept them because they are soooo on trend for this season! Isn't it great how fashion is constantly recycling old styles?

Alright everyone, today I have done something a little different. I am featuring my mom in this post because she has recreated my neon pop of colour look in her own way! I thought this was so fun to see how someone else interprets a look with their own style. Check it out!

The Perfect Spring Sandal

It's still too cold to even consider wearing a open toe heel, let alone a sandal. But now is the perfect time to shop around for a pair! All the stores are/already have released a lot of their spring items because most of the world is not freezing still *crying silently* In my opinion, the shoe to have this spring is a warm brown colored platform heel or wedge with thick straps. This color is so versatile and you can pretty much pair it with any outfit. It's time to stray away from classic black footwear!

Here are a few affordable options:

2. Wrap It Up Platform Heels   36.00 sale 28.77

OOTD: Leather & Pearls

T-shirt: Forever21 {similar}
Leather Jacket: Urban Behaviour
Jeans: old
Wedge Sneakers: Charlotte Russe s/o
Necklace: Stitches Outlet {similar}

Tonight we went to the opening night of the movie Insurgent. I must say it was pretty darn good - better than the first one in the series. If you are a fan of post-apocalyptic/dystopian stories I highly recommend this series. Read the books too!

My outfit tonight had some edgy inspiration and I added a necklace with a pearl strand to add a bit of girly. I love the edgy + girly combination. These sneaker wedges are super comfortable and I can walk around in them all day. I wish I could find them online but they were a gift from 2 years ago or so. They are a good item to invest in if you can find yourself a pair like mine. Also a good black leather jacket is a must have wardrobe staple, I've had mine for almost 4 years now.
