Plato's Closet Haul

This week we went shopping at Plato's Closet again! This time I sold some of my used clothing to the store ($38 worth) and put it towards our purchases today. You know what they say...One mans trash is another mans treasure.

Lululemon Skort   reg 58.00  $25.00
The very first item I spotted in store was this awesome athletic skort by Lululemon! First of all, the pattern is so cute and summery my eyes were drawn right in. Upon further examination I was pleased to find it was Lululemon and that it was this super adorable skirt. Then I discovered the built in running shorts. Jackpot! Now I can look super cute while running and not flash the entire world. FYI the ruffles are on the back of the skort.

Under Armour Wind Breaker $20.00
Lightweight athletic jackets or wind breakers have become my new favourite thing, especially with the warmer weather upon us. This is perfect when going to the gym each morning when it's still not quiet warm out but not wanting to wear my winter coat. It looks great with a pair of  athletic leggings and my runners. Not to mention super comfortable and flattering. I couldn't find a reference price on this one because it's probably from last year but I'm guessing it's close to $100 retail.

Billabong Beach Pants reg $48.00 $16.00
These pants are perhaps my favourite find. While browsing through pinterest lately I saw a spring outfit that I just adored and it involved a pair of these palazzo pants. I was thinking where the heck will I find a pair of those? Luckily enough just two days later I stumbled upon these. They actually had a couple pairs to choose from but I liked this pattern best. Tip: since the material is so lightweight and thin, lighter colours/patterns are see through!

Black Maxi Skirt $8.00
A black maxi skirt is a staple item that I'm honestly surprised I don't already own. I have one that is black & white striped however. I knew going into the store that I wanted one and knew they'd have one in some variety. This style is exactly the one I wanted because its the same style and "build' and - TBH, brand - as my other two maxi's which I love. Not sure on a retail price for this but I'm guessing $12.00 so not much of a steal here but still something I really wanted!

Sheer Neon Blouse $4.00
This blouse was on clearance at Plato's (Clearance on already cheap prices - I know!) I got it for 50% off.  When I saw this I had an outfit idea in mind so you should except to see a style post for it within the next week. It's such a simple cute top. The back has a cut out screen as well, perfect for displaying laced bralettes or caged tops. Neon pops of colour are a huge trend this spring especially when paired with neutrals.

Nike $18.00Adidas Men's Superstar 2 reg $110.00 $20.00 / Under Armour Sandals $6.00
These are 3 pairs of shoes that Anthony purchased for himself.  He will soon have a larger shoe collection than me! He got some amazing deals on these items. I don't have reference prices for the Nike's or UA but the Adidas were like 90% off. Need I say more?!

Clothing Haul

I have another mini clothing haul, mostly from Boohoo.com. This is another new website for me. I have been browsing on it for a long time but never ordered anything. They offer free shipping to Canada and usually have some sort of promotion on for 10-20% off your order. I am always wary about ordering from new places because I'm not sure how there fitting or quality will be but I am super happy with how this stuff came out! I took a lot of pictures - sorry.

The colour combination on this playsuit couldnt be more perfect for me. My two favourite colours! I also love the oversized baroque pattern. I would probably like this a bit more if it was a dress but since its so short a playsuit is much more practical.

This basic tee is a play on the brand Céline & the #selfie obsession. I like the simpleness to this shirt. The cuffed arms are the perfect touch. This will be a great tee for the fall to rock with a pair of skinnies and a leather jacket.  Or for wearing on a lazy day to do errands.

Sunflower Lace Pencil Skirt $15.95
This co-ord set is actually from Gojane. I wanted to show it off too but its the only thing I ordered from there so I threw it in with this bunch. I have been obsessing over these cute sets and have an event coming up that I wanted to get one for. I shopped around for a few weeks to find the best/most affordable one. I like this one because its white and black and can be built on with any colour accessories, shoes, purse and jacket.

Isabella Scuba Zip Blazer  $50.00 $35.00
I am so pleased with this blazer. It could not fit any better. So comfortable and fitted. The sleeves aren't too short, the shoulders aren't frumpy and its snugs in all the right places. I want this blazer in all the basic staple colours; white, black, grey, and whatever else they have! And yes, the zippered pockets are real.

This blazer is exactly the same as the Isabella one except the texture of the material is "waffle" and the other one is just plain. I love the vibrant colour. Its a cross between fluorescent yellow and green.  I specifically bought this to wear with the co-ord set. An awesome pop of colour.

I thought the pattern on this skirt was super cute. Midi length high waist skirts seem to be a thing these days and I wanted to try one out. The fit on this one is a bit weird. I think I should have gotten the medium not the large. Its a bit loose and bunches around my stomach/waist.  Hopefully I can find a way to style it so its not so noticeable because its very cute.

Check out Gojane and Boohoo for yourself, they have some amazing stuff!

Bikini Haul

I went bikini shopping at La Vie En Rose Aqua last week because they were having a sale and I need to get some bikini's that actually fit me. Time to be realistic. So I got four.

Ombre Bandeau Bikini -  {top $19.99 bottom $17.99} I love the different blue shades on this one. Reminds me of the ocean or the pool.  The top can be worn as strapless or with the halter tie. It removes easily. The top has a cluster of jewels in the centre but its hard to see in this picture. The side tie bottoms also have some jewels hanging down.
Graphic Mirage Bikini - {top $39.95 bottom $14.95} This pattern is so cool and I love the style of the bottoms. The top is simple push up halter style. The black panels on the side are very flattering for both the top and the bottom.  This set is from the new collection so it was full price BUT they had a coupon code for half off bottoms if you got the top.

Soft Solid Jewel Halter - {$9.99} THIS top is the entire reason I wanted to place an order with LVER.  The colour is sort of across between brown and army green - I love it. The pink jewels on the side are a cute bonus. The main reason for my love for this top is the fact that it is a 5in1 style top. Meaning you can wear it 5 different ways. My most favourite way is the front cross (which i've shown you below).  So gorgeous.
Wild Floral String Bikini -  {$4.99} Since the top was in clearance they didn't have the matching bottoms so I chose my own. These bottoms have a bit of the same brown colour and a lot of the pink colour from the jewels on the side. I think they match pretty good. And they were only $5!
Bird of Paradise Top - {$9.99} I loveeee the pattern and bright colours on this one, plus its the 5in1 style top so its super versatile.
Blue & Yellow Stripe Bottoms - {$4.99} These bottoms were both in the clearance section for $5 each so I got one of each colour. They both go well with the separate top I bought and button details on the side were too cute to pass.  Plus they could easily be worn with white tops or even yellow/blue tops respectively.

^^^^^ this style is the reason I bought this bathing suit in two different colours. I just love it! Its also super convenient that you can style different ways but this cross in the front is my favourite. How gorgeous is that?! The longer I look at it, the more I want it in black too.

Check out La Vie En Rose Aqua!  They are having a huge sale of 70% off right now.  They have some awesome suits for ladies like me who need some support and can't rock a simple triangle bathing suit. They also have great full coverage bottoms which I love. Trust me, If I could pull off cheeky bottoms I would!

Small Haul

Hello! I may have done a tiny little bit of online shopping recently. In 3 weeks we have an 80th surprise birthday party to go to on Anthony's side of the family so I had to buy myself a new dress of course. In the process of looking at many different places I couldn't help but find other items I absolutely needed to have!

I tried out a new website recently called www.tobi.com. Now, there prices may seem steep but they almost always have a 50% off event, and shipping is free to Canada which I love. A lot of places have decent prices but they you have to tack on a $20+ shipping charge. So this made me happy. I bought this stuff during a 50% off event (happens like every 2 weeks I swear) and of course got free shipping. I was worried with free shipping that it would take FOREVER to get to me. The website warned 4-8 weeks. So I set myself up to believe I wouldn't be seeing this stuff for about a month. It came in 3 days! I was super pleased and now Tobi is a site I visit daily to look for new stuff, and will definitely be shopping there again. P.S. they add new stuff daily.

Two Part Floral Skirt: $45.00 $22.50
The first item I got was this skirt. I thought it was super cute for summer and spring because of the colour and pattern. I like the added zipper detail! In the second picture you can see that they designed this skirt with a bit of a longer back which is awesome ! You can still rock a short body con skirt and not show your butt off! Especially for people like me who have bigger butts and need some more coverage. That was an excellent style feature. I got this in a large and its a bit tight. Sort of disappointing because they don't carry anything bigger. I will have to be careful when ordering any more bottoms from them.

Love Child Platform Sandals: $78.00 $39.00
And I got a pair of shoes, shocking! I have been wanting a pair of these style sandal heels for the spring/summer and could never find the perfect pair online. Always saw other people wearing them, or in the magazines but couldn't find my winners. Well, Tobi supplied! As soon as I saw them, I put them into the cart! They also come in a dark brown colour. I just friggen love these! So cute for wearing with summer dresses and skirts. I did find that they were very slippery on my hard wood floor though! I also guessed at my size because they size in 35-40 which is new to me. I went with 39 and it fits like a glove :)

They also threw these fake eyelashes into my bag for free :) who doesn't love free stuff?! speaking of my bag, the photo at the top of the page shows the black Tobi tote bag that my order came in (inside of a box obviously) I think that is such a neat touch!

If you are into online shopping you should totally check out this website, I highly recommend. They aren't currently having a 50% off sale, but when you sign up they will send you a 50% off coupon to your email to use on your first order!  Check it out  www.tobi.com

And of course, it wouldn't be a haul by me without any Forever21. I just got one item and it was the dress for the party. I have had my eye on this one for a while. The red colour is just so vibrant. I didn't have any excuse to wear a short dress in the winter so I just put it into my wish list and I'm glad I did because the price was cut in half and now I have a use for it!

Iconic Fit & Flare Dress: $23.80
It's a bit hard to tell but there is a little tiny triangle cut out just above the waist line. Such a tiny cute detail that really puts that little something extra into this dress. How pretty is that red?!  Can't wait to wear this, just need to figure out what sort of jewelry to wear with this, because a necklace is a no go. I was thinking wear my hair up and get some dangle statement earrings maybe? Also, what sort of shoes? Any opinions? Help greatly appreciated!

I am hoping to do a much bigger haul soon, perhaps in June. My lists are getting big and I want some staple spring/summer pieces. I am thinking maybe my next "fun" pay check. Stay tuned :)
