OOTD: Boxing Day

Top: Forever21
Skirt: Gojane

On boxing day I had a second Christmas with Anthony's family. My necklace is actually a gift that I got my mom for Christmas but I borrowed it because I didn't pack any matching jewellery for this outfit. Notice Coco photo bombing all my pictures?

OOTD: Festive Reindeer

Sweater: Meijers
Skirt: Stitches
Black tights
Boots: -old unsure-

One more day until Christmas! We spent Christmas Eve mostly on the road up north. Even though I was going to be spending 6-7 hours in my Jeep I still wanted to dress festive. I bought this sweater back in October/Nov I think, with plans to wear it over the holidays.  Sorry I don't have links for anything. I got the sweater in the states at a "superstore" and they don't have a shopping website. The skirt was on super clearance and no longer available - I think I paid $3-5.

OOTD: Outerwear Edition

click photos to enlarge
Jacket: Sirens -old-
Scarf: Charlotte Russe
Boots: Gojane -old-
Tunic: Urban Planet
Leggings: Forever21

I am always doing outfit posts but now that its winter and I will freeze without outerwear it's about time I do an outerwear edition. Especially because I feel like the outerwear makes this outfit. I was considering donating/selling this jacket for a new one this year but the more I look at it the more it grows on me. I think I will keep it for one more year. Half of the items from today are old staples of mine, and the other half are all sold out - sorry!

OOTD: Cabin Fever

 Flannel: Garage
plain black leggings
Socks: Ardene
Necklace: Forever21

It would appear that winter is officially here - a month early. We are in the midst of an epic snow storm, or so I've heard.  With that being said, my blog is still in summer theme. I think that it is time for a change.

_coming soon_

I need to go out into the snow to get a shovel before its too late!

OOTD: Pink Cableknit

Sweater: Bluenotes
Jeans: Target
Boots: Gojane
Necklace: Forever21

This sweater is such an awesome piece to have in a wardrobe. I love the cable knit sweater style for fall, and the tie up back is such a cute edgy twist. Also, this shade of pink is perfect. It reminds me of strawberry milk! Pink is not a very good fall color but I think paired with black it works for winter - I am jumping the gun but hey, whateves!

OOTD: Thanksgiving

Skater Dress: Gift
Cardigan: Bluenotes {similar}
Socks: Ardene

Happy Thanksgiving

I know I am late on this one but that's how it goes. This was my outfit for Thanksgiving dinner with my family. I never left the house this day so I didn't have to plan any footwear. Thinking of it now, I am not sure what type of shoes would work best.

OOTD: Bringin' Back the 90's

Top: Plain V Neck Tee
Skirt: Forever21
Cardigan: Basic Black Cardigan

I love that plaid skirts as becoming a thing again. I always had a secret soft spot. My skirt is actually  a "skort", if these were a skirt it would be way too short. I love that its a skort because I can feel much more comfortable wearing it. Also, can we just talk about my necklace! These tattoo chokers were the shit about 10 years ago - my bff rocked one daily. I never really wore them as a kid but couldn't resist the 90's nostalgia that is todays fashion.  I am now wondering why I never owned a pair of converse before in my life. I love them! And I need more in my life, especially the cute pink and baby blue colours.

OOTD: Casual Fall Wedding

This past weekend was a co-workers wedding, I was lucky enough to spend the day celebrating with them.  Congrats Anna & Brad! This is what I wore:

Top: plain white tank
Skirt: Forever21
Blazer: Love & Liberty
Booties: Urban Planet {similar}

I loveee this skirt and I hope I never grow out of it. It is such a statement piece and its so unique. The colour makes it easy to dress up or down. I have had this in my closet for a few years now and I plan to get a lot more use from it.

OOTD: Jumpsuit

This one is a bit older. This outfit is from my birthday! Me & Anthony went to Medieval Times for the dinner & show. I love this jumpsuit because it looks like a maxi dress but in all reality its pants. Super comfortable and looks dressed up.

Jumpsuit: Forever21
Watch:  Gift
Necklace: Forever21

Happy Birthday To Me

OOTD: Army Jacket & Leather Pants

The fall weather is setting in and its time for layering and adorable fall fashion. As much as it sucks that the summer is over, the fall is the best fashion season out there. This is my first fall inspired outfit!
Top: Urban Planet
Leather Pants: Forever21
Army Jacket: Urban Outfitters
Platform Sneakers: Charlotte Russe

These are all older pieces so I don't have any current links to share. Sorry about the cluster/mess in the background. Still working on some unpacking and organizing in that room.

Lip Factory August

1. Cult Nails Lacquer in Disciplined - This is my least favourite product this month, and it might not even get used. I am not a fan of the colour. Its a really washed out blue with glitter in it. I would need several coats to get a good finish and looks sort of sloppy to me. I wish I would have gotten one of the colours they show in the leaflet, those were much more wearable.

2. Medusa's Makeup Stick It Eye Primer - Lip Factory uses this brand a lot, would have been nice to see different ones but over all I don't care because I like this product. I have been meaning to get an eye primer for my shadow so this is perfect. I haven't tried it out yet so I'm not sure on the quality but fingers crossed that it wrks good!

3. Pink Powder Parlor lipstick in #720 - AH I love this lipstick. This is by far my favourite item this month. The colour is just so adorable. It's like the perfect bubblegum pink colour. This is not a shade I have either. Cannot stress how happy I am with it.

4. Red Cherry False lashes in #110 Black - Fake lashes are something I am a noob about. They look so awesome on other people when they wear them that I want to try so bad. I have a feeling I will be terrible at applying them because it looks hard. I have a wedding coming up at the end of the month I might try these out, or even for my birthday. The style of lash doesn't look too dramatic or costume so they just might work, especially for a noobie.

5. LASplash Mineral Blush in Ring of Fire - This is such a pretty colour in the container. I swatched it on my hand and its still pretty. Its def a bit deep and dark for a blush but might work well for winter months with very natural minimal eye makeup, then a pop of colour on the cheeks. The colour is too pretty to not give it a chance.

6. LASplash Lip Lacquer in Barely There  - Another repeat brand product - that's okay because I like it. The colour is the perfect strawberry milkshake pink. It would actually layer over the lipstick nicely for a glossy finish.  It's a very easily wearable colour.

Overall, I am certainly pleased with my box this month. Last month I was considering cancelling my subscription but I am happy I stayed on board. I decided that if I get two boxes in a row I don't like then I will discontinue. I don't want to stop then miss a really good box!

Thank You Anonymous Reader!

So, way back in May I blogged about a local bakery back home in Elliot Lake called The Fat Raccoon.  Click here to read.  I went home again last weekend and of course me and my mother made a trip there. Sadly we went a bit late in the day and she was pretty much all sold out. However, the trip was not wasted. When we went in the store a posting on her bulletin board caught my attention. It was my blog post from May!

The owner told me someone in town printed it and brought it in to her. How cool! I didn't think any one else really read this blog other than my family and close friends. So thank you anonymous reader :) you made my day!

So I ended up coming home with some loaded triple chocolate chip cookies. these cookies were awesome. We bought all that she had left. They were soft and so fat, and full of chips. Perfection!

OOTD: Feminine Maxi

This is another one that was supposed to go up two weeks ago.  On August 10th we had a surprise birthday BBQ for Anthony at this uncles, he thought it was for his grandmother. I actually picked up this dress the day before when we went shopping with his family. It was mixed upon a rack of random misfits. It just happened to be in my size and exactly what I was looking for. A flowy, bright maxi dress. I love the sheer detail at the bottom. Its fitted at the top and down the waist then pleated out, very feminine.  I paired it with a light grey coloured cotton blazer because it was in the evening.  Plus I finally got a lipstick colour I have been obsessed with but never brave enough to try. I call it my barbie pink! I love it, I am so happy I got it.

Maxi Dress: Forever21
Blazer: Armani Exchange
Lipstick: Candy Yum Yum by MAC

OOTD: Pop of Color

This post is about 2 weeks late, and you will probably recognize it from my haul post. On August 8th we went on a family dinner cruise with Anthony's family. The cruise travels the Grand River and they serve a 3 course meal.

Lime Waffle Blazer: Boohoo
Sunflower Crop Top: Gojane
Sunflower Midi Skirt: Gojane {sold out}

I love a pop colour against black & white,  I think it looks so cool. The fit of this blazer is to die for too. I just wore strappy sandals with this outfit, nothing fancy. Wearing sandals helped to play down the outfit.

The standard dinner is roast beef but you can request a chicken dinner or pasta dinner. It was so delicious. Anthony was overly pleased because you could have as many servings as you wanted.  It was nice to have roast beef because that not something we ever make at home.  Dessert was strawberry short cake. They had a fiddle band playing music too, they were amazing at what they do. Wish I could remember what they were called.

This is a picture of one of the cruise boats docked.

Clothing Haul

I have another mini clothing haul, mostly from Boohoo.com. This is another new website for me. I have been browsing on it for a long time but never ordered anything. They offer free shipping to Canada and usually have some sort of promotion on for 10-20% off your order. I am always wary about ordering from new places because I'm not sure how there fitting or quality will be but I am super happy with how this stuff came out! I took a lot of pictures - sorry.

The colour combination on this playsuit couldnt be more perfect for me. My two favourite colours! I also love the oversized baroque pattern. I would probably like this a bit more if it was a dress but since its so short a playsuit is much more practical.

This basic tee is a play on the brand Céline & the #selfie obsession. I like the simpleness to this shirt. The cuffed arms are the perfect touch. This will be a great tee for the fall to rock with a pair of skinnies and a leather jacket.  Or for wearing on a lazy day to do errands.

Sunflower Lace Pencil Skirt $15.95
This co-ord set is actually from Gojane. I wanted to show it off too but its the only thing I ordered from there so I threw it in with this bunch. I have been obsessing over these cute sets and have an event coming up that I wanted to get one for. I shopped around for a few weeks to find the best/most affordable one. I like this one because its white and black and can be built on with any colour accessories, shoes, purse and jacket.

Isabella Scuba Zip Blazer  $50.00 $35.00
I am so pleased with this blazer. It could not fit any better. So comfortable and fitted. The sleeves aren't too short, the shoulders aren't frumpy and its snugs in all the right places. I want this blazer in all the basic staple colours; white, black, grey, and whatever else they have! And yes, the zippered pockets are real.

This blazer is exactly the same as the Isabella one except the texture of the material is "waffle" and the other one is just plain. I love the vibrant colour. Its a cross between fluorescent yellow and green.  I specifically bought this to wear with the co-ord set. An awesome pop of colour.

I thought the pattern on this skirt was super cute. Midi length high waist skirts seem to be a thing these days and I wanted to try one out. The fit on this one is a bit weird. I think I should have gotten the medium not the large. Its a bit loose and bunches around my stomach/waist.  Hopefully I can find a way to style it so its not so noticeable because its very cute.

Check out Gojane and Boohoo for yourself, they have some amazing stuff!
